Management and storage of flexographic resin plate in carton printing plate

For the printing plate of corrugated box, flexible plate is the first choice. Flexographic printing has advantages that other kinds of printing methods can't compare with, and has outstanding environmental protection features. But these advantages and features must be reflected in the products, and must be printed with high-quality products, so that users can recognize and accept, and flexographic printing can develop. Therefore, how to purchase and use flexo is a problem faced by every carton factory.

There are two kinds of requirements for flexo plate in carton factory: one is to entrust a cooperative plate maker outside the factory to make the finished plate; the other is to have the plate making equipment in the factory to make the plate by itself, but in any case, we need to know what the flexo plate is first?

The flexographic plate used for carton pre printing is relatively thin, the thickness is from 1.7mm to 2.84mm, and the hardness is about 50O of Shaw's class A. at present, it is not widely used in China and rarely used in factories. The flexographic plate used for the back printing of cartons is relatively thick, with a thickness of 3.94mm ~ 7.00mm and a hardness of about 30o ~ 45o of Shaw's class A. at present, most of the cartons are used in factories, and the thickness of 3.94mm is the main stream.

For plate material, proper storage and management is very important. The following is a brief introduction to the storage and management of flexographic plates in the process of plate making, the whole box of plates and the finished plates.

1、 During plate making in the factory, the basic rules for plate storage are as follows:

1. Unexposed plate

◆ put it in the packing box and wrap it with black plastic film

◆ do not put it on the uneven contact surface

◆ before the exposure of the negative film, the surface thin film can be peeled off

◆ after peeling, if it is bent excessively, it will wrinkle the protective layer, and these wrinkles will leave stains after exposure and plate making

2. Exposed plate:

◆ handle with care to prevent bending with a piece of cardboard under it

◆ protect it with the original surface sheet

3. Wet plate after plate washing

◆ avoid contacting the resin surface, otherwise it will form stains

◆ avoid inhalation of volatile gas of solvent during treatment

4. Plate material after drying

◆ put it on the flat contact surface to cool it

◆ do not touch the resin layer

◆ prevent sunlight or other ultraviolet light

2、 The whole box of plate materials from the plate material supplier shall be stored as follows in order to maintain the best condition:

◆ temperature control: 5-25 ℃. When the temperature is lower than 10 ℃, the plate transferred to the plate making room shall be placed stably for a period of time to avoid thermal shock effect on the exposure machine.www.chinacartonmachine.com

◆ humidity control to avoid excessive humidity (within 60% humidity)

◆ packing box placement: flat, no more than 10 boxes per stack

3、 The storage regulations for finished plates from the plate manufacturer are as follows:

◆ pure air: well ventilated, dust-free, solvent-free volatile gas, far away from ozone source

◆ temperature control: 5-35 ° C

◆ no light: dark room

◆ plates shall not touch each other: there is enough air circulation between plates
