The green barrier that packaging and printing industry must stride across

At present, in the international community, green packaging system has become one of the main contents of setting green standards in developed countries. According to relevant statistics, China's foreign exchange receipts are reduced by about 10% every year due to packaging problems, a considerable part of which is due to packaging does not meet the green requirements. After joining WTO, the new term "green barrier" in the field of foreign trade has attracted more and more people's attention. According to statistics provided by the United Nations Statistical Office, 90 percent of Americans, 89 percent of Germans and 84 percent of Dutch people buy goods with environmental standards in mind. As the largest developing country in the world, there is a big gap between China and the developed countries in the aspects of environmental standards formulation and implementation, capital investment, environmental technology level, etc., so the role of green barriers in hindering China's export commodities is increasing.
Green packaging system requires that packaging materials should save resources, reduce waste, that is, easy to recycle or recycle after use, or easy to decompose naturally, without polluting the environment, protect environmental resources and consumer health. That is to say, the whole process of packaging products from raw material selection, material processing, product manufacturing and use, waste recycling and recycling to the final treatment should not cause harm to the human body and the environment. Developed countries have put forward the principle of "4R1D": to reduce the use of packaging materials under the conditions of satisfying the protection, convenience, sales and other functions of packaging; to reuse, packaging can be reused after finishing a certain function; to recycle and reuse. Recycle, through the production of recycled products, incineration and utilization of heat energy, composting to improve soil and other measures to achieve the purpose of reuse; can be refilled, cans, bottles and other packaging after recycling, can be re-filled and used; degradable, packaging waste can be decomposed, do not produce environmental pollution, and then The purpose of improving soil is achieved.
The green packaging system in most developed countries is implemented through various domestic laws and regulations. However, inappropriate policy measures and the gap between countries'standards also bring great negative impact on China's export trade. As far as packaging materials are concerned, European and American environmental laws and regulations have higher requirements and standards for the ease of handling and recyclability of commodity packaging materials. Packaging materials are required first of all to be safe, and secondly to be harmless to the human body and the natural environment. China's packaging materials are backward, difficult to handle, low recoveries and serious environmental pollution to the importing countries. This has caused many products in China to be exported because of packaging problems. With the increasingly strong voice of environmental protection around the world, green packaging has become an inevitable trend of packaging market development. In the face of the "green barriers" to China's export commodity packaging, the pace of green packaging must be accelerated.
